The aim of this section is to disseminate the experimental data sets acquired in the EMSL within the scientific community. Currently, the available data sets correspond to the signature measurements of the following targets:  | Backscatter data from three artificial rough surfaces with known geometrical and dielectric properties were acquired in the frequency range 1 to 19 GHz at various incidence angles in between 10° and 50°. more... |  | | Bistatic scattering data from three artificial rough surfaces with known geometrical and dielectric properties were acquired in the frequency range 1 to 19 GHz at the incidence angles of -20° and -40°, and 10 scattering angles in the range between -50° and +50°. more... |  | | Backscatter data from a sample of a bare soil were acquired at various temperatures during the transition from the frozen to the thawed condition. These measurements were performed in the frequency range 1.0 to 10.0 GHz at the incidence angles of 23° and 45°. more... |  | | Backscatter data from a 5 m high fir tree were acquired in the frequency range 1.0 to 5.5 GHz. During the measurement a two-dimensional scanning aperture with angular spans of 24° both in the azimuth and elevation was synthesized at the incidence angles of 23° and 45°. more... |  | | A cluster of nine 2 m high fir trees.
